Description

7.93 GB 1609 pages (c) 2013

This translation of the Tanak/Old Testament was begun in 300 B.C. and completed in 200 B.C. by 70 Hebrew scholars. It translated the Hebrew text into Greek. This text is much closer to the original Hebrew texts than the Masoretic version of the Tanak (the version most used by modern translators) which was not completed until 920 A.D.

This is the Bible translation most used in the Orthodox Church, along with the KJV New Testament. There are many books included in the canon of the Orthodox Churches which are not accepted in Protestant and Catholic canon. Nevertheless, these additional books offer important insights into the formulation of Church doctrines. Some of them are exciting and fun to read!

The scriptures are highlighted in four colors covering the topics of Justice, Blessing/Prosperity, Salvation/Evangelism and Hellrazing.
